Dent/Sink hole in leg above knee.
I developed exactly the same thing above my left knee more than a year ago! At the time I thought it was related to my variable fluid retention, but it has persisted. No idea what causes it.
I've noticed I have this recently, but in two places on the shin and it comes and goes. The leg goes numb from time to time. Both legs suddenly 'switch off' quite often, making it a struggle to walk. No idea what's going on.
This doesn't help you really, but I have had the same thing below my knee for 30 years, no doctor was ever interested in it. This year, I've noticed a pea sized one in the middle of my forehead! Quite disconcerting.... Are these 'holes' something, or nothing? We may never know, but at least we're not alone! 😊
In terms of the forehead then, you should be checking you are calcium levels along with vitamin D and PTH, parathyroid hormone. Parathyroid disease can cause dents in the bone in rare circumstances and can cause osteoporosis along with kidney stones. Although it doesn't always cause all of those things. It's worth checking into
I had the exact same thing but now I'm pretty sure it's because I rest my left elbow there with my left hand supporting my chin when I am texting etc... 🙄 X
I know this post is old, but did you ever find out what this was? My mom just developed the same thing and ask me for my input.
