How to purchase b12?

Poorlysic profile image

My gp only allows my shots every twelve weeks.after the the shot I begin to feel more human again but by week six I go downhill fast and the last four weeks I can barely get out of bed at all. How can I up my dose to six weekly and inject myself to cut nhs costs? I am so desperate I will try anything.

get my B12 from versandapo.de versandapo.de/article/searc...

I get my syringes, needles and wipes from amazon.uk:

Green needles to draw the solution up into the syringe - amazon.co.uk/Sterile-Single...

Blue needles for the actual injection - amazon.co.uk/Sterile-Single...

2ml syringes - amazon.co.uk/2ML-PLASTIPAK-...

To make sure all the liquid is sucked up it's necessary to take some air up as well. This is much easier with a 2ml syringe. It's too easy to pull the plunger all the way out on a 1ml.

They should be fine. You'll just have to be a bit more careful.

Do you have any neurological symptoms?

b12deficiency.info/signs-an...

pernicious-anaemia-society.... See Symptoms Checklist

UK recommended treatment for those with b12 deficiency with neurological symptoms includes loading injections every 2 days for as long as symptoms get better then injections every 2 months.

If you are in the UK and are getting maintenance injections every 3 months, it reads like you are getting the standard treatment for someone who has B12 deficiency without neurological symptoms.

Details can be found in following

1) "BCSH Cobalamin and Folate guidelines" page 8. I found page 29 useful as well.

2) BNF Chapter 9 section 1.2

3) Management section in next link patient.info/doctor/pernici...

oh this makes me so cross that yet another person (poorlysic) is left in a really poorly state for weeks waiting for the next injection. This is crazy. It worries me that with so much self injecting going on gp's must be calm in the belief that their timing is okay.
