Hi and welcome. Try posting your symptoms and results online for advice and other experiences of haematology. The guidelines recommend injections but many of us also supplement with sublingual/spray. Some resort to self-injecting too. If you look at other posts you will see reference to BCSH guidelines and BMJ articles which would be good to read before your appointment. Contacting PAS would also be advised if you run into difficulties. Good luck!
Sorry I've been absent for 3yr . Had radio active treatmeñt for over active thyroid 2yrs ago plus given iron for HB and folate for 3 month . Last week routine blood test showed HB lowest ever at 77 (I'd just put tiredness etc down to age as I'm 71) .Doc gave me iron tabs and appointment for 4 wks time . Can u tell me what other readings to ask for and what they should be . Sorry but I don't understand the abbreviations
Thanks will keep u posted
