needing some help again...

Hi

I have today had my ampoules of methocobalamin delivered...at  last. Thought I was on the home strait until I started to look at syringes and needles. I was looking for 25g..I" needle and 1ml syringe but these do not seem to come together in packs. How do I know the needles will fit the syringes if I buy them separately? also what do all the different colours mean. I would be grateful for some help with this please.

The needles will fit the syringes.it is honestly more convenient to have them separate. I always use two needles every time . A long needle to extract the b12 because you can easily touch the glass whilst extracting. This makes the needle blunt, and could make the injection painful. Discard that  needle( in the yellow needle bin) and use your needle of choice for the injection. The colours on the needle donate the gauge-the thickness. The higher the gauge, the narrower the needle- 21 gauge is the thickest 30 gauge is the thinnest.  I find 25  x one inch perfect for.. IM in the  muscle. Hope that this has helped. Best wishes and good luck. In a few weeks time this will all be routine, and you will be feeling the benefit of your injections!

23 gauge needles are fine for injecting too and the length is not that critical.

I think most people use 2 or 3 ml syringes.

I bought an 100 dose complete kit from Amazon for £22.  It all works fine for me.

Please look up my profile and see my post "My Experiences" for more information.

Good luck, Denise
