I have been diagnosed with vit b12 deficiency and have had 3 loading dose injections within a week. However, I feel worse than I did before absolutely no energy feel really down in mood and just generally feel rubbish. Does anyone else have experience of this. I would appreciate your comments

Hi, and welcome, there are many very knowledgable folk on here who should be able to answer any queries.

But as a quickie for this one ----- many people say that they do in fact wonder if they are being benefitted by the injections as in fact they do feel worse! It normally settles down depending on your original symptoms. Some even temporarily get ones they didnt have before diagnosis, micro spots on the forhead for example.

Keep a symptom diary, probably using a 1-10 score system to chart your progress over a couple of months. This way you will be able to see if you are in fact healing. then discuss with your gp how a further treatment plan would work in your favour.

Hi

After I had my loading injections it took another 3 weeks before I felt better and then it was short lived as another 4 weeks later the tiredness and brain fog crept back in. I have been fighting for more jabs and after much desperation I now self inject with the help of many others on here. It is very frustrating and a battle to get doctors to understand but I wish you luck. I do hope your symptoms improve, this site is a great help so any questions are usually answered. Take care.
