Do I need too fast for this or not my blood test sheet doesn't specify? Many thanks

Sorry I'm not sure. I don't think I did but I did not have 100% confidence in the GP surgery to do the right thing.

You don't have to fast for a test relating to B12 - just that sometimes the B12 test is done with other investigations that do require fasting.

B12 does not need fasting. If you are supplementing or getting injections the readings will be off.

"Normal" values less than 400 pg/ml result in neurological damage in 10% of the population according to a caveat added to the results by labs in the USA.

I always now test >1500 pg/ml. Anything less and I feel bad.
