When I have had a full blood count test they have always done an MCV. The last but one test showed a slightly higher than the reference range, so when I was given a full blood count test last time I wanted to see what the result was but there was no MCV done. Do you know if this is not now included in a routine FBC?.

As far as I know, the MCV is part of the routine FBC (Full Blood Count). I don't know if there is an alternative name for MCV (Mean Cellular Volume).

Thanks. That is odd then that they did not do it. I specifically wanted to see if it was still raised.
