Anyone on here with depression who found out that PA was at the heart of the problem? Have Vit B12 shots helped?

B12 deficiency can cause mental health problems. The PAS (Pernicious Anaemia Society) website has lots of useful info.

This site is useful too.
I had 4 decades of depression. Was diagnosed as having low B12 incidentally in December 2012 ... and was another 15 months before I gave up on the NHS and started treating myself as I just wasn't getting any better on the normal regime. I really hadn't expected that getting the doses I needed would make the depression so it was a bit of a surprise when a few months into treating myself the depression went away.
I actually use a nasal spray as my main means of delivery rather than shots but occasionally do sub-cutaneous injections.
It is possible that the shots might be enough to 'cure' depression as the doses I need are really high - I think I probably have an autoimmune response to B12 and the only way to beat it is to keep the levels high ... and if I didn't have that response then may be the normal regime would have been enough.
By the time I started treating myself my neuropsychiatric symptoms had progressed beyond depression into acute anxiety and mild psychosis.
However, your situation does sound rather complex as there are a lot of overlap between B12 and other conditions and unfortunately it could also be two or more things interacting together.
