Just been reading one of Martyn's older blog posts and I don't know whether I'm reading it right (or I could have missed a post on here) but is the PAS stopping being a charity and forming into a company?
The posting is really rather vague but I seem to be reading that into it?

There is a form of company - company limited by guarantee - that is used by charities because it is much easier to do some of the governance things (eg changing trustees) and also limits the liability of Trustees if they aren't at fault more easily (ie haven't acted irresponsibly/negligently). I haven't read the blog but may be this is what it is about.
"...we now needed to stop being a small charity struggling to keep up with demands from various quarters and become a professionally run organisation employing people who are experienced in the third sector..."
It's completely contradictory - 'a small charity' 'a professionally run organisation' and ' experienced in the third sector'
