There have been more; in Nov 4th 2009 MP Madeline Moon (believe her daughter has PA) managed to get a debate at Westminster (PAS held a reception at Westminster then aswel, think 17 MPs attended then), Sally P was there with others from B12def etc besides PAS.

The debate Is still available to read in here; page 964 to 970:

This is great. I went to see a neurologist today (in Edinburgh, home of the Scottish parliament) and it was like talking to a stone wall. He had never heard of B12 treatment for trigeminal neuralgia, made me quote any 'experts' who recommended it, quibbled over the low base line that is used in tests and argued over each and every point I raised. The whole 'consultation' was a farce, a complete waste of time, and was more about exercising his ego and his alleged 'expertise' (he kept referring to "all his years as a consultant" - you know you're in trouble when that happens) in his field. Expertise which apparently was full of great voids of ignorance. I felt so profoundly depressed when I came out that I wanted to give up. This debate isn't happening a moment too soon.

Given the lack of decent alternatives, those that are used are usually intrinsically nasty medicines, it seems madness not to give it a whirl.

Maybe he will at some point claim to be the inventor of the idea! :-)

Oh doubtless. He said, in a patronising way, of course, "Thanks for increasing my knowledge" - not meaning a word of it (he also said when my partner offered to send him some stuff on it "Oh please don't"). No doubt if he ever does get off his ass and look it up he will brag about his interesting discovery at the next consultants get-together. God save us from the horror of the NHS...
