I have hypo and am on 75mg of levo my levels seem to be optimal but im still having symptoms so i would like to try b12 shots.

In 2011 my ferritin was 23.

Red blood count low ,mcv high and same in 2012.(only just found this out) i had been using floradix for 2 months previous before

I got an active b12 test privatly came back as 29(25-165).

So i started on 1000mg jarrow.

My latest ferritin was 58 mcv is still high and red blood count is just in range and b12 done at doctors for first time came back as 400 after 2 months on jarrow (i didnt know was having it so had taken b12 that day)

My question is id like to try b12 shots but want to see a doctor who will prescribe shots i can do at home . Im in shropshire area and recommendations? Many thanks

Sarah

Hi Sezzy, Shropshire's near Wales isn't it? (Sorry, geography not my strong point)! There is a clinic in Wales where you can get MethylB12 infusions. Have a read through this topic and call the PAS office if you want the details:

Other than that I think you can search for a Doctor of Ecological Medicine. There's an email address on this link:

Explain what your issue is so that they can perhaps direct you towards someone who will help.
