There are certain anti-inflammatory properties in neem leaves. This is especially exciting for arthritis research. The paste or oil, when applied to aching joints and muscles due to arthritis can significantly reduce pain and discomfort, and even increase flexibility if consistently used.

Neem Derivatives Inhibits Tau Aggregation

Tau is a phosphoprotein with natively unfolded conformation that functions to stabilize microtubules in axons. Alzheimer’s disease pathology triggers several modifications in tau, which causes it to lose its affinity towards microtubule, thus, leading to microtubule disassembly and loss of axonal integrity.

I mix 1/4 tsp of neem powder with a little less than 1/4 tsp lukewarm water and form a small ball and take one ball along with turmeric powder ball of the same size with lukewarm water on an empty stomach in the morning. It helps gut microbiome and has anti inflammatory effects.

Kia,

I have never tried neem, but I have tried turmeric extensively until I became allergic to it.

I will have to look more into neem!

📍Be careful if you take lithium or anti diabetics medications or Immunosuppressants as Neem has interactions with them.

I was able to use curcumin/turmeric for quite awhile, but eventually developed hives and peeling skin. It might be genetic because another family member told me they had the same problem with curcumin. I tried it four separate times with the exact same reaction.

iqbaliqbal,

I also tried tetrahydrocurcuminoid, a white derivative of curcumin/turmeric in the hope that I might not be allergic to it, but I had the same allergic reaction.

One might seem to do as well simply by eating oranges and lemons, citrus in general, especially the seeds. Orange juice if you can handle the sugar.
