If you are taking a Levodopa (Dopamine) type of drug and as long as the dose is big enough (I first was given 12.5 / 50mg ) This where else insufficient
Providing you have a big enough dose of Levodopa via Sinemet or Madopar then you may notice a difference in how you feel after 1 hour since taking the dose.
The other class of drug is the Dopamine agonist For example Pramipexole. To get this working may take several weeks for you and your medical person to titrate up to the best dose for you. It is worth noting that these drugs can result in very unpleasant withdrawal when you decide to stop using them.
There are a couple of other drug types but they work in different ways to extend the effective period of the Levodopa or agonist.
