I don’t think anyone knows much about any of it.

Just that to match like for like the strength in herbal just isn't there. I was advised not to waste my money

Creon is a brand name with others available. I cannot take any due to being allergic to pork which these contain. No other treatment so far. I'm prescribed immoduim which controls the diarrhoea. Don't waste your money on alternatives from health shops as there is no data to support them

Thanks, how do you take the immodium? My doctor said it is ok for me take but gave no directions.

I switched to zenpep but since it’s a cousin to creon I’m still allergic, just a bit less. So I still take it and use benedryl when needed.

If you don't mind my asking, what kind of allergic symptoms do you have? I have sore lips, a burning in my mouth and some shortness of breath for which doctors can't find a cause. A Pulmonologist said it's not an allergy.

I had really bad hives/itching as well as vomiting and a permanent upset stomach.

Thanks. While the PERT is probably making it so my body is getting nutrients from food, it hasn't made life easier. The constant struggle is wearying.
