hello. I’m 20 years old and was just diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis.

the last couple of days, I have been struggling to find things to eat that fit my diet. Does anyone have good recipes they’d like to share?

Also, Does this mean I’ll never have ice cream again? I was just diagnosed a couple of days ago so I’m still super new. But I love to enjoy a little bit of ice cream. Is it OK to indulge occasionally or best to avoid it completely?

Oh poor you, so young. I was advised by my Consultant to try everything as my body will let me know if it is unhappy, his only stipulations were don't go to McDonalds ( not a problem as I wouldn't go if you paid me ) & no alcohol. I do take Creon so if you are not on those it may be different .

Thank you so much! I’m not taking Creon, as it was too expensive and I couldn’t afford it. But I am on different pancreatic enzymes. I have an appointment February 23rd with my new doctor so maybe I’ll get more info on what I can and can’t eat.

If you have insurance for medications, see if you can get a discount card from the manufacturer. That’s how I only pay $5 for like 30 day supply.

Now I understand the cost

Don t eat ice cream. You live in Colorado, so try to search informations about medical cannabis and CP and speak with your dr. about that.
