Chronic Pancreatitis

Hi, I am from India. Though I have had annual, half-yearly- and quarterly episodes for quite some years doctor diagnosed it officially as acute pancreatitis in June 2023. Since then last Sunday I survived again with another heavy attack and this time reports revealed it is chronic pancreatitis. Unable to express in words how my body feels but it is a constant, confused, uneasy, super exhaustive painful feeling right now and the more I read about it, I feel lost.

So, I am here to learn more about it and about new me.

in 2017 I was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis and spent 7 months in hospital.

You need to be mindful of it but don’t stress and think it’s the end of the world. Ensure you take the enzyme replacement before a meal and try to watch what you eat.

I totally understand how you feel. I’m looking for answers too. For 18 months had almost monthly attacks. Doctors said it was diverticulitis until I ended up in the hospital and was diagnosed with severe acute pancreatitis. Nauseated and in pain is not good. I’m still struggling 2 months later. Here’s to finding some answers. ❤️
