I just found out the cause of my autoimmune chronic pancreatitis and it’s not good. I have Sjögren’s syndrome.

it’s effecting my other organs too. I have osteoporosis, not from prednisone but from lack of nutrients from the pancreatitis. I need to go on a steroid to help stop my body from effecting multiple lungs, kidney’s, liver and pancreas. I have 4 cysts on my pancreas too. I had lymphoma from Sjogren’s but didn’t know why at the time. Symptoms dry mouth and dry eyes. Skin rashes and of course the lung, kidney, liver and pancreas issues. I shared how taking cranberry extract can help because it’s a powerful anti-inflammatory.? They suggest you take ibuprofen with Sjogren’s and I can’t so I take it due to bleeding issues so I take cranberry extract and it works somewhat for the inflammation and I’m not as tired. I take 500 mg. 3 x a day.

I know it hits you when you get a diagnosis, particularly something complex, but often afterwards you realise that it gives you the key to treatment and ways to manage things. It can often feel like "nooo - another thing to cope with?" when you were hoping for something simple with an easy cure, but forewarned is forearmed and now hoping you can move forward with better understanding of the situation.

I am sorry for you and wish you luck.

Hi Joanhappy21It's also great to find things that help us that ARE NOT full of chemicals. Well done for discovering that and sharing it with us. I discovered that a particular brand of mango juice is extremely soothing for gastritis pain. Aren't we clever girlie's??

Hope you keep well! Take care.x
