UPDATE.....

...The gemzar treatments have shrunk the tumor 50%!!!! They believe that it has also pulled away from the vein it was attached too...so we are going back to UVA on Dec 13th to see if the surgeon thinks he can do the whipple now....Today has been a good day with hearing this positive news..Now I will really be thankful on thanksgiving and my birthday is the 28th and my husband having a shot at this is all I can ask for... I am praying that some of you will be getting some possitive news as well...we are not out of the woods yet...but still holding on...

Have you ever looked into getting the chemo??? Just checking up on you.....

Hi , going to see oncologist on the 19th to discuss this , when i was dianosed in oct , i was told the chemo would'nt have much effect because of the vein involvement , but going to go into it more now after reading your story . Iwish you all the very best and keep us updated . x x

Brilliant news Miki ......I so hope your husband can have the Whipple. This is a real celebration moment for you both and it makes me happy to hear that you have been given a fighting chance.
