HELP Very Paranoid about Pancreatic Cancer

Hi, everyone.

I’m a 22 year old female. I’m 5’2” and 119lbs. I exercise at least twice a week. I don’t smoke at all and I only drink during special events/occasions. I don’t have any cancer history from both my mom and dad’s side.

I’ve been feeling so anxious about my health these past few days. I’ve been feeling weird lately and I think it’s because of my health anxiety. My anxiety’s so bad that I cry out of worry and I can’t stop myself from searching random symptoms on Google that usually go away when I stop thinking about it.

However, yesterday morning, my left abdomen (below my ribcage) and my back (also below my left ribcage) started to hurt. Being the very paranoid person that I am, I started searching for these symptoms online and I found pancreatic cancer. I searched for hours that I forgot to eat, so when I realized that, I decided to eat. The pain subsided after I ate so I thought it was just because of hunger. Later that night, the pain came back but I was still able to sleep properly. When I woke up this morning, the pain was still there. The pain wasn’t so bad so I was still able to go to the gym during the afternoon. I noticed the pain transfer to the lower part of my body (above my pelvis) and then it went back again below my ribcage. My stomach has also been making weird sounds. I am not experiencing any other symptoms aside from the said pain. I tried to check my stool, and the color was light brown/green but it wasn’t really pail. I’ve just been eating a lot of veggies. My urine color was also normal.

I had digestion problems (unable to poop) a few years back. I had to stay in the hospital for a few days because they had to lubricate my intestines due to the intestinal blockage they found in my ultrasound. After that, I never really had any problems with my stomach until now.

I’m very scared and paranoid. I literally spent ovwr 10 hours today just googling about Pancreatic Cancer. Should I be worried about Pancreatic Cancer considering my age and symptoms? I don’t know what to do, I need advise :(

Go to a gastroenterologist because you won’t relax until you have a diagnosis to your pain. It sounds like gastritis though. I have this and have pains on both sides of my upper stomach that can go away when I eat and come back when I’m hungry.

Thank you for replying. I woke up today without any pain and I’m still not experiencing any pain until now. I am still feeling very anxious m though. I can’t stop overthinking and I can’t stop looking everything up on the internet.

Stay off of google, it is not your friend I promise. You are extremely young to get that disease. I thought the same thing as you about 6 months ago which is why I ended up on this forum. I know how bad anxiety is and can be and the best thing for you to do is stay off of google.
