Things not going well....

Hello everyone...I am sorry I have not been on for a little while, but hope you are all doing well....Darren finished radiation last monday and chemo last wed...by wed night he got so sick...by yesterday (saturday) and ambulance had to come get him..he is severly dehydrated, his kidney function is not well, and he has an infection but they are not sure yet where it is coming from....Today is also the 6month date of his being diagnosed.....So, I am spending all my time with him.....He is critical care and they say it will be at least a few days....Please send your prayers our way...thank you guys so much for always lending an ear when I need to vent...xxxx

Hi Miki8, so very sorry to hear this news , i send my love and hugs to you and hope Darren feels better soon, this bloody cancer , its the pits as we all know . keep thinking possitive thoughts and thats why we are all on this site to vent our feelings and look to the ones that know and have to live with it . Thank you Maz....Actually got some good new this AM...his infection numbers are improving..his kidney function is improving...still looking for the sorce of the infection...I hop you are doing well too...Love Miki xxx

What a surprise I got for Valentines Day!!!! They let him come home!!!!! They found the cause of the infection is pnuemonia....he is not septic anymore...and his kidneys have improved...he is still not very well and is on alot of medication, but at least he is home...Thank you all sooooo much for your support and prayers....He has his MRI March 20th to see if surgery will be possible...love to you all...Miki xxxx

So pleased to hear Darren is home , thats good news , tell him we are all rooting for him . I am not doing too bad , last week was;nt so good for me , had my 1st chemo 2nd session today , so see how things are this week . Good days , bad days ,i try to think possitive at all times , not always easy though , its a tough road as you know . Love to you Cath x x x

Yes It is a tough road for us caregivers Cath, but for you all actually going through the pain, exauhstion, sickness, fears.....You are all so amazing to be fighting, and keeping possitive thoughts....I am handleing it bad enough and I am not even sick....I pray so much for all of you...This is a horrible, nasty terrible sickness....I know alot of progress has been made over the years, but it still doesnt seem like they are figuring out how to kick this in the ass!!!! Please keep yourself well...stay away from anyone who is even a little sick so you dont get ill....You as well as all my friends on here are in my thoughts and prayers everyday...sometimes this is my sanity being able to relate to you all who really understand....love to you..xxxx...Miki
