Anyone having difficulty renewing their Blue Badge due to the new rules?
Blue Badge: Anyone having difficulty renewing... - Pain Concern
Blue Badge
If you are having trouble with your blue badge get your doctor to write a letterwhich you present with you renewale and this should fix it for you. Good Luck and take care
Hi colboy, I have taken a letter from earlier this year from my neurologist to go along with the application. The trouble is, up here in Scotland, the rules have changed and you now have to have the same criteria as Higher Level DLA to get one. I.E. unable to walk or virtually unable to walk. The fact that I can only walk in pain doesn't get on to their radar and my application for DLA was turned down this time last year as I could actually walk and am not paralysed. My consultant told me that she has patients with Parkinsons that have refused DLA because they can still actually walk. Anyway, watch this space as I should hear in a couple of weeks. Thanks again. I'm waiting for my blue badge , i sent it away weeks ago and i am now worried after reading this that i wont get it . x
That was my worry too as it such a lifeline to me. I have explained that it not a monetary thing about not having to pay car park charges - it's all about access for me so that I don't have far to walk. I hope you're successful Marion - the trouble is, they have dished them out like sweeties in the past and a very small minority have abused them, so when it comes to genuine applications like ours, they are super strict. Let me know how you get on and good luck. Maggie x
Hello
I had mine stolen from the car just before christmas, it was the old version 2010. I contacted the police and also contacted the social team, I recieved the new design card 7 days ago, although we had too pay the full wack.
The new card is very pretty and impressive it is hoped it will now prevent theft and missuse
