I’ve been have unbearable pain with this problem foe weeks can’t eat normal food or drink so hardly eating. Got biopsy on Friday and now I think it’s improving !
I might go to the hospital and maybe they’ll send me back without doing one. Anybody think so? Because there might not be anything there to take out for a biopsy

I had it done. The pain was in my cheek at the back. Now it’s been 4 days since the oral biopsy and the cheek has got inflammation. And I’m wondering if that’s normal
I have had lichen planus since I was 20 something. I had the biopsies and a had it lasered off once. That was terribly painful. I’ve had flare ups through the years and still see an oral pathology once a year to monitor it. I am now 77 years old. It hasn’t been bothering me much for many years. It’s still there in spots but not painful.
ive bin to the hospital and ended up p having the biopsy done. The needle was the worst part 🙈. After I was only half taking in what the dentist was saying.
I can eat later but nothing spicy - I’ve no idea what to eat. It says take painkillers before the anaesthetic wears off. It’s that what yourself had done? I’m already wanting a cup of tea
Omg this pain has started after I’ve had a nap. It’s awful. Taken painkillers don’t know if they’ll help. How long will this pain last any idea? I’m even scared to open my mouth fully
it was the most bothersome in my twenties. Then I had another flare in my forties. It never completely goes away but it gets to where it is something you can live with. Mine always seemed to flare up when something stressful was going on.
my husband had biopsy on his tongue, took all his mercury fillings out and replaced. Used aloe vera toothpaste and mouthwash, cleared up the lichen planus much to the surprise of the doctor at hospital who had never heard of aloe vera
