I have had three consecutive major surgeries in 2023 : March spinal, then mastectomy in June and hemicolectomy in September. Directly afterwards in October I had the COVID booster. Days later I woke one morning in debilitating pain in my neck , shoulders, upper arms, I could barely lift myself from the bed to find my hips thighs and knees didn't want to work. From then on my mobility went down hill, stairs being a nightmare and dressing in the morning increasingly difficult. Sleeping distrusted by pain. I tried to get an appointment to see the GP with out success. In the end having waited 3.5 weeks for the surgery to contact me I went into the surgery and begged for an appointment and got a cancellation same day! They suspected PMR and I had blood tests. I had to look up my results in the NHS app and although I have some raised/high levels with the CRP I've not had any feedback from the GP. I've again asked for an appointment or even a call back. I'm now so desperate to get some help as paracetamol doesn't touch it. It seems as though unless I pay to see a rheumatologist nothing will be done anytime soon. How does anyone get help for this?

How high is your CRP? It’s an inflammation marker but also a sign of stress on your heart or possibly another major organ.
Insist on seeing your GP so blood tests can be ordered to assess your blood sugar levels, creatinine phosphokinase level and a repeat CRP.
Don’t let doctors brush you off. Can you go private if they make you, ‘stuck’ with no answers?
They need to rule out Rheumatoid Arthritis.
I hope this is not due to the COVID shot and it has something to do with the shock of three surgeries to your body.
You need to sleep. Try passionflower pills or tryptophan pills. Don’t give up.
Hi there, thanks for your reply and suggestions. My results Serum alkaline phosphatase level 139 iu/L [30 - 130] - Above high reference limit
Plasma C-reactive protein level 16 mg/L [0 - 5] - Above high reference limit
eGFR using creatinine CKD 74 mL/min Below low reference limit; epi-GFR interpretation: Result between 61 and 90; = CKD Stage 2 - Mild renal dysfunction
With all results my GP has said satisfactory and no further action. I have now arranged a private consultation with a rheumatologist as I'm not satisfied. I won't give up !
