I was recently asked for a BP reading from my gp for my medication don't even think about it I do it at home and send it in .Well first reading I got was 89/50 then after monitoring it I got it too around 105/65 now I know this is in the normal range however the lower end .

I've been suffering dizziness when I get up from laying down a horrible muffled pounding in my ear however I've had that 10yrs plus

I dont go to the GP I avoid it at all costs

This could be one of the dysautonomias. Do you know what your pulse rate was while the blood pressure was low?

My son has POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) which results in dizziness when standing up as well as other symptoms. This often happens in people with symptomatic hypermobility or Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. I get it too, but I am not affected as badly as my son. For my son his pulse raises more than 30 beats per minute when he stands up, but his blood pressure doesn't go up.

Sometimes my BP can be quite low too around your figures. And if you have had this for 10 years, as my GP (he has a great sense of humour) says, if it hasn't killed you yet, it isn't likely to now!
