corneal neuropathic pain

Been diagnosed with corneal neuropathy, anyone else with this?

I have never even heard of it and had to look it up just to see what it was and what causes it. Apparently there are a lot of things that can cause it. Do you know what caused yours? Do you think it could be related to trigeminal neuralgia? I have chronic pain and have had for many years but fortunately not in my eyes or in my face. What are they doing to treat your condition?

Thanks for replying.

Not sure except that I have dysfunction/dry eyes and blepharitis for years and maybe that caused irritation. Never sure of cause. I think I will be prescribed Gabapentin or Amitriptyline. Waiting on that decision.

You should read up on gabapentin before starting it. It can cause you short term memory loss.
