Hi,

Yep, I have. I have also used an Osteopath. Both ( at different times in different areas where I was living) worked on my right Sacrilliac Joint. Firstly the treatment was remedial and then finally just more regular maintenance, 3 or 4 weekly appointments.

while I can understand the thought… any spinal team would tell you it’s a bad idea

I see a McTimoney chiropractor - gentler/no ‘cracking’ - personally my experience with the NHS was shocking. I came onto this forum in desperation & so much pain & this is what was recommended to me. An actual lifesaver, gave me my life back

If you do want to try something it would be better to see an osteopath. Some areas now have NHS osteopaths and osteopaths are Allied Health Care Professionals like physios and they are gentler than chiropractors.

Yeah that's right - there are some real crackers out there, and some gentle ones. Need to ask the therapist and tell him/her your needs. McTim I have not had but is def more gentle. Bowen is equally effective- for me - and also very gentle. Ask around, and use ur intuition. Cheers TIMbow

I agree with cyberban. Over the years I have seen both chiropractors and osteopaths. I found osteopath much more helpful and more gentle. I wouldn’t see a chiropractor again after I believed she actually made me worse!!
