i'm hurting everywhere, it started in my left arm but has spread all over my body, and its even started to cause really bad headaches i think. it hurts so much i struggle to get to sleep, the pain can change from an achey pain to a sting/stabbing pain, it hurts to be touched by anything, like my glasses touched me the other night and it hurt really bad, i'm also very sensitive to being touched by people even if its the lightest touch it hurts. i've been super drained and one minute i'll be completely okay and awake and not feel tired and then the next i'll be practically falling asleep. it started around a month ago and it's only getting worse, i take painkillers but nothing helps, i've also put on weight since this all started so much that i've gone up a size, but i've not changed my diet at all, if anyone has any advice or anything i'd be very grateful.
hi i have no idea what's wrong with me and i ... - Pain Concern
hi i have no idea what's wrong with me and i cant get a doctors apt they always seem to be fully booked :(
It sounds like you may have allodynia my.clevelandclinic.org/heal...
The root cause needs to be identified. Till you manage to see a doctor, you can try Magnesium and Vitamin D supplements. Also Omega 3 and B vitamins may help.
Did you have an injury in your left arm? Even something minor, it may still have done damage to nerves.
Is it possible you have (pre)diabetes?
that sounds a little bit like Fibromyalgia? Have you been tested for that? I have heard it can take a long time to get a diagnosis so if you think the symptoms match it’s worth preserving with doctors. Hope that helps..
My first thoughts were Fybromyalgia also. I actually experience the same pains described and have often thought I have it. My son is a doctor. He showed me in one of his books, a drawing of a body with arrows pointing to different areas of the body. He said the Rheumy will ask you where all you feel pain and I guess if you point to enough areas, they DX you with Fybromyalgia. From what I understand, there is no blood test or anything of the sort.
Sorry if this seems unsympathetic, but obviously some people are able to get appointments. The receptionist or whoever you speak to should be able to tell you how, for instance by ringing at a certain time of day. I know what it's like to keep getting the engaged tone then when you finally get through you're told nothing is left, but you mustn't give up, if other people can get to see the doc so can you.
Hello
Sorry to hear that you've been struggling 😔
First of all, you have to persist in getting an appointment with your GP, even if its in 3 weeks time, it seems that we have to take what we're offered nowadays.
Then, are you on any medications for any medical problems? You could be having a "reaction" to something, even if you have been taking the medication for a while.
I'm not a doctor, so I'm not going to pretend that I know what is happening with you. But, you have to persist with the GP surgery & they'll hopefully get to the bottom of what is happening with you.
Sorry that I can't offer you medical information, but it could be a number of things which have been suggested by others who have replied to your message.
I wish you luck & please persist in getting to see your GP.
Best wishes
Sorry to hear you are going through this. My wife went through this as well after her vaccination. it's now been a 1.5 years and she is doing much better. You may want to supplement with alpha ketoglutarate, moringa, quercetin, vit D3 with K2, L-Citradine. All these will help with healing and reduce inflammation. Also please cut out any sugars and try to eat a non processed diet that is as low carbhydrate as possible. This will also reduce inflammation.
So sorry to hear about your pain.
Two years ago, I started to suffer from neurological pain, including various other unwanted sensations such as pins n needles, tingling, stinging, hot and cold sensations all over my body. Touching my skin also is painful at times.
After many tests, scans etc I have what is called "neurological pain” probably caused by some unknown physical crises.
For many people this will go away albeit for me it seems to be permanent. With NHS support and DIY pain management, I have found ways to better cope and lead a better life than I had dared to hope was possible during my darkest days.
I would persevere with your GP. Obvious tests you should get are for B12 deficiency, diabetes, Lyme's disease, thyroid function. As a rule of thumb pain all over is rarely a sign of cancer, brain tumour etc.. albeit a CT scan can be reassuring.
Normal pain killers don't work for neurological pain. But others can help if only to help you sleep better which is a cure in itself. I take gabapentin. It helps with few side effects just now.
A lot of people also get assistance from pain management. You can diy this, eg through
or
paintrainer.org/login-to-pa...
Gentle exercise and trying to still do the things you like doing will help.
Sadly you have to push to get attention from the NHS for pain which is so difficult when you feel overwhelmed by it. But if you can, push! crying down the phone works! Can you get a friend or relative to help support you at the GP?
I would take it step by step and dont jump at every "wonder cure" all at once. You can't then tell what works and what doesn't
.Good luck, best wishes, I hope things get better soon
Your experience sounds exactly like my wifes after her 1 pfizer vaccine in June 2021. She also got digestive issues and pain. I would suggest you try atleast alpha ketoglurate and l-citridine and nutritional yeast. My guess is you have nerve damage perhaps due to lack of deep circulation. I'm not a doctor btw. Those vitamins will help you heal and also ensure your blood vessels are dilated enough to get need blood supply to those deep tissues. For pain also you can try white willow bark.
I hope this helps.
I have exactly what you described and it started when I developed hypothyroidism my neurologist calls it small fiber neuropathy (for no reason) I feel at times like my skin is badly sunburned yet it looks perfectly normal and I also hurt when I get touched (certain areas) right now it hurts when my forearms are touched its so annoying.
I would highly recommend you get a thyroid test done (TSH, Free T3, Free T 4, Antibodies and T4) a lot of people pay for these tests out of pocket because most doctors will only test TSH which isn’t enough testing.
Im not saying your having thyroid problems but it’s definitely something to look into.
I'm in the US and I'm not too happy with what we call a primary care doctor which I think is the same as your GP surgery. I'm asking for recommendations but some aren't even taking new patients. I also see a few specialists which can take 4 months to get an appointment. There are a few things I do: I ask to be put on a waiting list. I call back every week to see if there are openings from cancellations. I've also done telehealth and telephone sessions. If you're able to book one of those, once you talk to the doctor about your symptoms he may get you in to the office.
