Hi, I am waiting for my dentist to remove a tooth, he was doing root canal treatment on one tooth, he fixed one tooth but started on what he thought was the same tooth again but it was a different tooth, not listening to me, he was convinced it was the same tooth, he didn't take out the nerves which is usual with root canal treatment, needless to say, I have a lot of pain up through my face, because of his mistake, I now have to have the tooth taken out, the temporary filling he put in has gradually broken, and more of the original tooth has come away. Question, where do I stand? What Can I use for the tooth pain? It is giving me a headache.

I had similar troubles with my top, teeth , pain in my gums etc. I had root canal treatment. Then pain afterwards. I use a lot of sensodyne toothpaste, they do lots of different types, you can buy one that says repair on it . Some people rub the sensodyne direct onto the gums for relief.
I have had similar tooth issues, and the best thing I have found for tooth/nerve pain are anti-inflammatory tablets (Voltaren or similar). Good luck, I hope you feel better soon
