I've had the same none stop pain in my head for almost 5 years now... and I'm getting nowhere... My doctors have prescribed medications that don't work. I can't cope no more and I just want to know if anyone else has had this kind of issue. It doesn't come and go. It's here all the time.

IS THIS REALLY CHRONIC MIGRAINE?
First: THINK POSITIVE, so change ur Insane name tag! It's an important 'energetic' change. 2. Be ready to ask loads of questions to so called specialists, and really question them! I have found over 80 years that their diagnoses tend to be really negative. (Probably so that they cannot be sued for suggesting you might live pain-free for many more years). 3. Consider complementary therapy alternatives. Such as osteopathy or Bowen Technique. I am a retired therapist now, but continue to see these people so I can remain stable (with PSP). Best wishes TIMbowPSP
You have had a pain in your head non-stop for 5 years, is this correct? You should be sent out to a neurologist this isn’t normal.
I have a friend who suffers from chronic migraine and nothing helped at all until he discovered that having a certain part of his ear pierced relived him of the pain. I'm sure you could find information online about it...
Take care.
Hello. I'm not sure if you didn't spot it but you're not on the right forum here. There is one called The National Migraine Centre and the other one Migraine Support. You'll find tons of information through the previous threads. A good source of info is the Podcasts from the NMC: nationalmigrainecentre.org....
Good luck and remember you are the one in charge, so whatever doctors or people may tell you, take it on board but keep on looking for what is best for you!
5 years is a long time!!!On this forum its hard to discuss various medical matters, and obviously you mentioned you are under a doctor, I had what I thought were migraines myself, and I had never experienced such pain in my head before, but my headaches were normally whilst I was asleep, they were horrific, and had me crying and rocking on the bedside in the early hours of the mornings , I was initially put on propananol, which at the beginning worked, but this was used a preventative of medication, but the headaches resumed again a few weeks later,so eventually I was then sent for a scan, and then referred to a neurologist, I was diagnosed with cluster headaches, extremely painful, so, my point is, that maybe you need a referral to a specialist, because having a long term health condition requires specialist treatment, a doctor can observe, and not have the same set of skills as a specialist in migraines etc, and maybe this is the route you need to take, best of luck.
