Hi everyone hope someone can shed some light about the pain in my knee

Hi everyone think I twisted my knee a bit when it was icy the other week,but now I can't seem to retract my leg back anymore than 90 degree without bad pain coming from inside of my knee any ideas please.....

Hi Andy. If you’re asking on here, perhaps you’re having the same problems as we have here - you can’t get to see a GP. Perhaps it would be easier to get a physiotherapist appointment. I’m afraid I bypass my surgery as much as possible. My left knee was like yours a few weeks ago so I went to see an osteopath. He said there was a slight tear, he did some acupuncture followed by a deep stretching massage (at this stage I swore rather a lot!) He gave me some simple exercises to do laying flat and in a couple of days it was back to normal. That was my experience but you may have a much better GP! Good luck.

Blaçķwitch gave you good practicaĺ .advice. If you can get a doctor to order a MRI of your knee followed by a appointment with an orthopedicst this would give you a definite diagnosis.

Hi Andy2205, the last time I needed a Physio I paid a local one I usually use for an assessment appointment and was seen within days. If you go via the GP ect it will take much longer. Other option is to contact 111 for advice on line. Please do not leave it unseen as early intervention prevents long term damage that can't be repaired successfully. Try an ice pack on it or bag of frozen peas, rest , and if you have a support bandage that will help till you can get it properly assessed. THis treatment is standard for these problems even after ops ect . Good Luck.
