Wrist pain question

Hi all,

Yesterday I was lifting weights. After deadlifting I picked up the barbell to put it back on the squat rack. My left wrist move awkwardly and I believe I sprained it. Today I’m experiencing soreness and a slight tingling feeling in my pinky finger.

Any tips as to whether I should be worried about the tingling, or is that a common symptom of a sprain?

Hi treyjeff sorry to hear your in pain. Be careful using that wrist it could possibly be de quervains tenosynovitis so the sheath on the wrist could be swollen and inflamed which in turn will trap your tendons this is very painful I'm actually waiting on an operation aside fractured my wrist well over a year ago. Take care

Hi Treyjeff, probably a sprain (but I don't diagnose!). Some (physical) therapy should help, such as Bowen Therapy/Technique or NST (NeuroStructural Tech). Can tell you websites if you like. Rest it for a start, maybe ice, and go easy .... Good luck. Timbow
