My wife had heart attack in 2019, and is on lot of meds (normal I believe), however is in a LOT of constant pain in back/hip. Can't take co-codomol as makes her sick, and only other option is paracetamol, but this does not touch pain. Any ideas??

Can she take ibuprofen? This is a good option because as well as pain it helps to ease inflammation.

Hi ssf. I also had a ha in 2019. It is generally accepted that anti inflammatory medicines should be avoided by people who have had a heart event. I take codeine as required for degenerative disc disease. I also use a "pain gone pen" which works on the principles of acupressure. Neither are a total solution, but allow me to keep moving which is the best help of all. Motion is lotion as they say! Your wife definitely needs to speak to her GP about this so he can take her ha and other drugs into consideration. Best wishes to you both x

She may need to have a complete vitamin panel done to see if maybe shes low on something and it’s possible since a lot of medications can mess with vitamins.
