I have peripheral neuropathic chronic abdominal pain caused by surgery. In constant pain and take tramadol, pregabalin. Not sure if lidocaine patches in addition work.

I have scoliosis causing leg pain and periphal nuropathy in hands and feet. When my doctor suggested Pregabalin, I had alredy tried amiltriptyline and gabapentine , he said it did not suit every one. I found that although it did very little for my back pain it was useful to diminish the nuropathy in my hands and feet. The back pain I manage by pacing my self and Iyenga yoga stretchs. In my opinion if you can manage without the pain killers then do so. Their effect wears off in the years you take them and you end up taking more and more.
