I don’t have the strongest of backs, have suffered sciatica on both sides in the past and had an op to try and sort a slipped disc, but today I decided to try and replace the saddle on my sons bike for him. The bike is still relatively new, but the seat post bolt was extremely tough
Needless to say my exertion sent what I can only describe as ripples through my spine and now I can feel pain on both sides of my lower back, it’s feeling tender and suspect it’ll be a call to the Doctors Monday for some pain killers
Why do I do things like this to myself 🤦🏻

Yep definitely an idiot haha. But having said that it’s so easy to do. I have had 4 ops, latest a fusion on one level and a laminectomy at another. The minute I feel reasonable I think I can do xyz but then afterwards always pay the price. It’s as if our mind and body forgets what it might do afterwards. So yeah stupid to carry on but oh so recognisable.
I to fall in the category of dont do that again....been dying to try granddaughter mad scooter out..balance bike mmmm all I'm saying is still paying price but hey I had fun for them few minutes ...this was Friday & still paying for it....& I'm sure it won't stop there ha ha ha....
Sounds like it was a fun time ha ha. My back feels a bit less painful today but I do one thing it hurts one side, I do another it hurts the other so still taking it easy
Definitely not an idiot It's a fine line with any pain of trying not to aggravate things, but also not fall into 'being scared to move' which inevitably makes things worse! Hope it feels better soon.
I did my original slipped disc in 2001 had op never been right I still overdo things after 20 years I am now using a mobility scooter just make sure you get it checked swiftly ask for MRI ...
