How long should you take nefopam for

Ankle surgery which lead into pain after op. One surgeon thought it was chronic ligament damage since I torn the tendon when I broke my ankle. Another surgeon noticed that a screw had came loose and was creating a tunnel in my bone and thought the screw might snap. Was booked in for screw removal op April 2020 but due to Covid-19 the op is postponed. Was on cocodomol for pain which started having no effect. As I’m on furlough I have started walking a lot to improve my mental health. Doctor prescribed 3 weeks??? supply of nefopam. How long should I be taking nefopam. Is it safe to take for a long time

My dr gave me a month supply of nefopam but I couldnt keep taking it because of the side effects

I was prescribed it as long term pain relief, but side effects became too bad when I increased the dose. Great shame as it worked well initially.
