My problem started in early July. While working one day (I am a cleaner)I felt a pain in my lower right side back. As weeks went on the pain continued and also radiates to my front pelvis and feels at times like a period pain. I am taking over the counter medicines for pain. I have no pain in my legs, upper back or shoulders. No pain when walking, in fact, it makes it easier if I am walking and I regularly do 15k steps a day. Painful when sitting and uncomfortable on waking in the mornings.
GP has done bloods/stool sample and urine and all OK….(she wanted to rule out anything sinister going on. Also had an ultrasound to make sure I didn’t have ovarian cysts or a kidney problem)
I visited a chiropractor and she has diagnosed a rotated or twisted pelvis and also told me I have scoliosis. This has never been mentioned to me before now.
Should I now be requesting x rays?
The pain is starting to take its toll on my personal life and is making me feel very down
Any suggestions as to what I can do to help it?

How are your other joints? Are they hypermobile? Is anyone else in your family hypermobile or having problems with wound healing or has stretchy skin?
There is a set of conditions called Ehlers-Danlos syndromes and Hypermobile spectrum disorder where joints are more mobile and that can lead to things like mild scoliosis and an increase rate of joint injury and pain.
Have a look through this website and see if anything makes sense to you.
As for the pain, if you have pulled a muscle or tendon, then it will take time to heal. Some of the inflammation will reach the brain and make you more likely to feel down. It mustiest take a bit more time to heal.
I went to the doctor with similar pain. I’m surprised the chiropractor couldn’t adjust the pelvis for you. The DO knew right away what it was. Lying on the examining table, one good yank on my leg and when I got up the pain was gone! My pelvis was out of alignment.
I have only had the assessment and she said it was out of alignment. My 1st treatment is tomorrow with a second to follow. She also told me, it won't be fixed in one go.....which is why i feel sceptical of her. You have given me hope though, it may get fixed
That’s just my experience. Maybe your scoliosis complicates correcting it. I think if she’s having you come back it means she thinks she can to the adjustments you need.
I have to go back to the GP on Friday, so will ask him about scoliosis. I got my husband to take a photo of my spine last night after she said it was curved. Looks normal to me..i know, i know, she knows what she is talking about
I don’t think you’d be able to see a mild/moderate case of scoliosis in a photograph of your back. They’ll probably beef an X-ray if you haven’t had one already. I don’t ass7me they always know what they’re talking about. I’ve got multiple health issues; I was a high school counselor and I know we teachers would never get away with some of the incompetence and mistakes many doctors make.
Back from my 1st visit..In the upright chair, she cracked my neck. It didn’t hurt but just felt weird. Then I was on the table and she did some spinal manipulation mid spine. That hurt! Then some muscle work in my left pelvis and that hurt just a bit.
She now wants me to go 2xweekly for a month and then weekly for a month
