Very strange pain sensation.. Only when I'm not looking?? Yep, weird, sorry..

Hi everyone. I had symptoms of ms but mri came back clear, phew! Also, I developed mouth blood blisters and ulcers, so eliminated sulphites from my diet as suggested by another site iand hey presto, got much better. Been pretty much symptom free since, apart from one thing. Forgive me, its weird. When tapped lightly on the lower leg and I see it, it's a tap, if I'm look away, it's like an electric shock.. Anyone out there shed some light for me please? Many thanks, stay safe and well out there. X

Can you better explain what happens to your leg?

Hi Batty1. If I am looking at the touch when my shin is touched gently with a finger tip, it feels like a normal touch, but if the same person touches it in exactly the same way and I am looking elsewhere it is like a small sharp electric shock, enough to make me jump.. Very strange. My leg feels normal otherwise.

Ahh....I know exactly what your talking about! I have the same issue when someone touches me lightly it feels like and electrical shock and if they apply pressure it makes me scream out because of the unusual amount of pain that doesn't match the touch.

I have Psoriatic Arthritis and no thyroid (cancer) and over past several months I developed what can only be described as a light red mask on my face.....I'm wondering if maybe I have drug induced lupus or lupus?.

Maybe it's time for you and me to see a neurologist ?

So sorry you are going through all that! I would definitely be pushing for a neurologist appt! I am going to contact my gp and ask them to contact my neurologist with a query about it
