Hi everyone thanks for all your replies it's so very much appreciated. That's the thing I'm not to confident it fibromyalgia the rheumatologist did comment that judgement on family history it could be athritis but if no inflammation shows she heading for fibromyalgia but I'm not slow with raising my opinions done it so many times in the past with the medical profession but it gets very tiring at times. My bloods have been showing inflammation for lots of years so how can that be ?

Ask for MRI scans xrays etc.

Lots of arthritis like psoriasis arthritis can not be seen in blood tests at all.

But only by medical exams and opinions.

They can take years for the drs to make a proper diagnosis unless you have the perfect set of symptoms.

Look up Versus arthritis org lots of facts re all arthritis there. Best info you'll find

Good luck

Betsy50,

I sure hope you don’t have to wait years for a proper diagnosis if, in fact, there is an underlying issue other the Fibromyalgia. I suffer only from poly-osteoarthritis though docs continually want to test for some type of autoimmune disorder. From 1998-2014 I had 21 orthopedic surgeries. The final 6 surgeries were bilateral knee replacements in 2004 and 2014. Bilateral hip replacements in 2008 and 2009 and bilateral ankle fusion procedures in 2012 and 2013. I have the degenerative effects of the osteoarthritis in nearly every joint and unfortunately it is severe without any mild, or moderate phase before the joint or disk is worn out completely. However, I will not have any additional surgeries unless a matter of life and death. I have stage 4 CKD as well, have for 25 years, and the surgeries/medications were threatening to destroy what little healthy kidney function I have left.

I say the above only to add some credibility to my post. I am very active in the kidney forum but not so much the pain. Probably because CKD is life and death and pain, while sometimes feels like life and death, really isn’t. I was initially diagnosed with CKD in 1996 and multi-joint osteoarthritis in 1998. I was 29 and 31 years old. So I have had a lot of experience with both issues. I believe completely that as a patient you MUST be your own well educated (about your specific condition or conditions) advocate otherwise you can be unintentionally made sicker if you don’t stay on top of all your care team. There is no one who will be a better advocate for you than you no matter how much they may love you or want the best for you.

Therefore, with all autoimmune arthritis according to NAIMS, there patient education site Medlineplus, and the American College of Rheumatology there is a relatively easy process for an effective and proper diagnosis in 90% plus of all the patients who present with symptoms. I’ll include a couple of links you can check out. Maybe they will help you in your quest for answer. I wish you the best in your journey with the yet not correctly diagnosed disease that causes your suffering and consternation. Links follow.
