Hi, sounds like you are going through a really tough time. You can ask your GP surgery for a copy of any tests which you have done. They should print out a copy of the results you ask for and no charge.
Sorry to hear that you have no where to live other than friends and families' sofa.
Please take no heed to your son, it sounds like he can't cope with his own problems and therefore finds your health issues difficult. As we get older and our bodies don't work as well we are still special people in our own right.
You are going through a lot at the moment. I hope that you can find some local group or organisation to help you. Have you tried the local Citizens Advice Bureau or if you do have cancer the Marie Curie organisation have a list - tel: 0800 090 2309.
Do reach out as I am sure you will be able to find some support for you at this time. Let us know how you get on.
We can only live now. Anything anyone says is not going to be much comfort with many of the issues you are facing at the present moment. There is something known as "stillness of being". This is something that the religious traditions have been engaged with for thousands of years.
Stillness of being will make a lot of difference how you handle all the things that are yet to come. In the UK there are hospital chaplains. In the local community there are churches and places of religious practice.
The following is a free pdf download. I have found it helpful for me as a Buddhist. You may find it helpful or you may not.
So sorry to hear about your very complex situation. I wish I could offer some advice that would be relevant. Perhaps if you can concentrate on the medical problem that is most pressing at the moment. Could you maybe ask for social work to become involved to help with your living situation ? I feel if you had a stable domestic environment it might be easier to deal with your medical problems.
Sorry not to offer more practical advice. I hope things improve soon.
