Ive been on diazepam or valium, since I was 16 it started off as a downer to come off eees and speed etc the rave drugs I'm from Glasgow so it was massive up there eventually came down to London case my dad lived here and we had to get to know each other but l had this massive diazepam and temazepam addiction my dad could not understand anyway long story cut short I stopped for a year and immediately went back on them as every day off them was basic depression, despair, loneliness, and mental torture so recently I've noticed actavis,Teva are the 2 main makes them you got these crescent which I think are so weak 4 of them is like 2actavis, you got Roche and Martin Dow but I'm not sure anyway my question is does anyone think crescent are weak?

Every prescription drug is controlled for its active ingredient, if it says on the packet how much drug there is in each tablet, then that is how much is in each tablet. If you are concerned about this try talking to your pharmacist.

If you are taking these drugs illegally, then maybe it is time to talk to your GP and get some help. Because dealers will always be looking to rip you off and sell you inferior drugs.

Hi there,I’ve never taken an illegal drug, but I also don’t judge people’s lifestyle. I can tell you I’ve been on Taemazapam and Diazapam since I was 18yrs old. I’m now 76( say that quietly😂). I do control both of them, because as you must know if you don’t they will not do the job your having them for. Now I like Diazepam because I can take it as needed, and my Gastrointestinal and pain specialist both agree. As for Temazapam,I would never sleep without it. I do believe there’s this myth around both these drugs ,down to the government. But my specialist who are two of the best in the country, say there two of the best drugs to take for the right reasons. I don’t know much about you,but I just thought I would give you my take on these two drugs. Hope I’ve been of some help.

yes ive already had a few replies to this quiestion you seem like you do know what you are taking being on it all those years especially. i too took temazepam but only for recreational use and it was the capsule form back in the late 80,s early 90,s back in glasgow , scotland we had a massive epidemic in those years unfortunately diazepam never really left me temazepam was taken off the market and i found the pill , tablet form very weak so i left it alone , im 47 and took diazepam from age of 16 and only 1year and a half ago was i completely taken off my last 10mg daily to 0 bit of a drop , i stiil occasionally turn to the net but its all indian, asian or eastern european diazepam even those actavis and teva are weak

i as i said i found crescent horrific i dont know what i was looking for taking them again and as someone mentioned there are other ways i tried a few ssris like mertazipine and sertraline both made me very drowsy next morning i couldnt get up , anyway im just one of the millions who are depressed please contiue your wise advice

This is just my opinion. I am on Mirtazapine, and in my opinion they are the worse tablet on the market to taper off. About 10 yrs ago I was given them 45 mg, I’m now down to 15mg but anytime I try to go lower I have extreme stomach pains, and my temper is through the roof. So I’m stuck with them. I’ve also joined a group where people are struggling to get off them.

I was also put on Pregablin and I have the same problem.

So to me Temazapam and Diazepam are mild in comparison.

Mirtazapine are awful to come off,but pregablin is lethal.....they are so addictive and can cause terrible side effects. My son I think was abusing them as the doctors prescribed them initially, now he’s not here anymore.

Oh I am soo sorry about that. When I get my Temazapam and Diazepam from the chemist I have to sign for them, because they are a controlled drug. Recently they have started doing the same with Pregablin.

Yes that’s right because they now know too late for a lot of people how dangerous they can be.Theres an American forum about people whose lives have been ruined with them. I’m going to take them all the way because of quickly and carelessly my son was on the highest dose. Anyway sorry about preaching but it’s caused so much grief.

No no,your not preaching,I totally agree with you. I’ve been on an American forum for Mirtazapine,in fact the lady who started it has become a good friend. And she took Mirt to court.

I wish nothing but luck. You take care.

Hi there I hope your having a good day. Please don't tell anyone near you or around the area where you live about your medication because there are certain people that would do anything to get their hands on either of these two drugs. My wee mammy was on Valium and a sleeping tablet called mogadon (moggies) for over 30 years. I just wanted to say that to you. Never ever tell anyone you get these two drugs . I personally think that after so long surely they won't work the way they did at first unless you keep taking more and more. My two young brothers both died from drug addiction . My young sister and I are also addicts , I am 57 and my sister is 56. Fortunately my young sister is now a counselor at a clinic and has been clean 13 years and i myself am what my Dr calls a functioning addict. I was never into heroin or what I consider any heavy drugs . I was put on methadone about 20 years ago because I lied to my Dr at the time and said I was using dyhydracodein (that might be spelled wrongly) but at the time DFS as we called them were drug of choice. I can still remember saying to someone I will never be a junkie or an addict because I know the stigma with addiction. To cut a very long story short at the age I am now I'm still taking 25ml of meth daily but I haven't had a valium for two years this coming February . I used to buy valium by the hundreds at a time but those were the garbage made in someone else's kitchen. I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole now. I want you to take care of yourself. Just you take your medication when your supposed to and keep well ok. Take care and Merry Christmas . Anita

Well I don’t really know how to answer that reply.

I can only give MY own opinion on the discussion. Which is I have never been an addict in my life, apart from prescription drugs which I blame the doctors for. As for diazepam and Temazapam I know how to control them, and I think I said I was given Diazepam to take as needed,so I could go a month or two without then have something stressful happen then I could have perhaps one just to relax me. I take as I was told to,so they do help.

As for Temazapam Pregablin I was also given them by my gastrointestinal specialist for chronic stomach pain, which to this day I still suffer with. If I didn’t have temazapam I would never sleep, but I do not abuse them,I haven’t had a full 10mg yet,I break them into quarters, then if that don’t get me off,I have another quarter which generally does the trick. As for Pregablin,I’ve been on 300mg now for a few years, now they do nothing for me,but I’ve tried twice to come off them, but because of the stomach pain I already endure,it gets more than I can bear. So I find them really difficult to even just reduce,I’ve tried recently.

I hope you now understand what I’m saying,it’s just my opinion if it helps anyone, then all the better. Have a nice Christmas.

This is not the only family of drugs for depression. Have you tried any of the newer drugs line the SSRIs? They may help you get over the depression that is caused when trying to come of diazepam etc.

could,nt help but notice you guys discussing pregablin , what a horrific drug to come off i had a little spell with it , thow i have heard it is good when used for what its prescribed for , i thought i was dying coming off that , i was taking a good 600 to 900 mg daily so it was a lot.
