Hi, I'm a trauma and orthopaedic nurse and work with patients having hip replacements all the time. The only thing I can think is that during the surgery some tendons/ligaments/nerves were damaged. Unfortunately this can happen by accident due to the nature of the surgery.
I'm currently have nerve damage due to a different surgery.
You definitely need to see a physio (ask your gp to refer or go to a private one if you can)
Or look online for hip and pelvic physio exercise but only push yourself a little, stop if too much pain. Try and keep as active as possible even if just standing and walking around the house every now and again.
