Morphine

Hi i have been on morphine for 15 years or so it does feel as though you get used to it but you can take 2.5 or 5 mls of oramorph so as it eases the pain quicker but that is every 2 to 4 hours plus i have a broken back in 6 places so it works for me. Maybe not for anybody else

Glad to hear that you have managed to still get relief after so many years on morphine. Many people de velop a tolerance and like myself have had to discontinue opiods because of the need for ever larger doses to get the same effect. Best wishes..

Been on 170 mg for 5 years and it kept me in work. However with the new cutbacks I’m on 60 mg now and can’t walk.

Sorry to hear that. Incompetant beaurocrats should be forced to experience the same problems . The fact that many of them are physicians who are clueless is inexcusable.

I am very lucky I have had 6 hip replacements elbow replacement 2 knee replacements and have lived on more. Pills than you can think of but something happened a few weeks ago and wham bam I am pain free I don’t need any drugs but Icannot come off themI have got to be weaned off but I have been on morphine for over 15 years along with all the .rest. So anyone who takes all these medicine don’t give up hopeJeff

Hi ive been on 60mg every 12hrs tablet and Oramorph liquid every 4hrs and im the same i dont feel like it works anymore ive been on them 9yrs my body is use to it now
