I experienced an injury to my chest which resulted in nerve damage to the area. I have these painful short spasms all day long. But now it's spreading up my chest to my face... It’s actually numb. How can this be? And numbness in my shoulder. All on the side of the injury?????

Would you actually consider going to a doctor or A n E?

Google " Parasthesia" to see if that sounds familiar?

The symptoms you report could be helped by a McTimony chiropractor. My guess is the body is caught in a feedback loop. Tight muscles cause pain; other muscles tighten to stop movement and over tighten. Further muscles tighten to stop movement and so on. To break the cycle the over tight muscles must be manually untightened.

Drugs cannot untighten a muscle that has got over contracted.

It is always worth checking with a doctor to make sure nothing untoward is present.
