Yes!!!!! You need the pressure turning up. You are having more apnea’s and if they adjust your air pressure that will simply fix it and save your health. Easy xxxxxxxxxxx
Hi Debbs, I had my assessment done at Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham. I regularly exceed 500+ apneas as recorded by a hospital supplied wrist worn monitor with a blood oxygen monitor fitting over the middle finger of that hand. The hospital then plug the monitor into their computer and the latest readings are added to the previous log. Once this had gone on for a double the normal assessment period. The CPAP machine that I was issued with had its settings locked. ( mind you this was a fairly long time ago.) I had to ring the hospital if my apnea count went up. They would then have me report to the nearest hospital for the machine to be adjusted.
I am sorry to tell you that they all make a terrible noise. I have spent time on a respiratory medicine ward as I have other breathing issues. There were a number of men on the ward with Sleep Apnea. The accumulated noise was awesome.
Could your increased apneas could be stress related? Do the go back down now that the "pressure-cooker holiday season" is nearly over?
Before you adjust the CPAP pressure it might be worth making a call to you Consultant's secretary and ask for advise.
