I get intermittent very sensitive and painful patches only on my thighs, from time to time. Thank goodness for Voltarol, this is the only symptom I get with this. But what a mystery, one I could do without. This is just on the surface of the skin.

Hi there does the pain feel like boiling water being poured on one place and then the water flowing down? I say this because I get this over both upper thighs and sometimes on my hips.
I know mine is caused by nerve damage (diabetic neuropathy ) but apart from topical lotions and applications there is little you can do apart from pills and i would try to avoid them for as long as possible as once on them, they are really hard to stop.
Gabapentin, pregablin and duloxatine are the ones to look out for. Trying to reduce duloxatine causes "thunder storm headaches with the lightening" you feel like there's electricity across your brain.
The gabapentin and pregablin when withdrawn causes some rather unpleasant skin sensation and sensitivity that's excruciating.
I found on the Internet from America a really helpful ointment from a company called "Realtime pain relief " thi amazing cream was totally organic with only natural ingredients.
I hope this helps you.
