I was diagnosed in 2000 with Lupus after years of tests and wrong diagnosis, later I was also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and then Sjogrens Syndrome . I am so frustrated with all this pain, it makes me bad tempered, anxious and very depressed. Most days I feel totally hopeless and very down feeling all this pain. The pain makes it very difficult to relax, I have good days and bad days I am never completely pain free.

I know the feeling about having the pain and being frustrated. I have MS and have had it they say since 2004 but my neurologist seem to think I have had it much earlier. But that’s in the past I need to move on. I know it’s easier said than done. I hope you find some way to have a peaceful day. Just remember this is the place to vent. It does help to get off your chest.

I don’t know where you live but here in Massachusetts it’s been snow since 11 a.m. now it’s just after 6p.m. And still snowing and they are saying we might be getting 6 inches. Why I’m saying this is because sorry to say I won’t be able to shovel, isn’t that sad, NOT one only good thing about having MS I can’t shovel.

LOL

We woke up to a good 5 inches of snow here in the Cotswolds in the UK. Long gone are my days of going out with a gang and doing flash shovelling (grew up in Canada, used to love surprising people by shovelling their path for them!)

As for pain, Patsie22 have you looked at the pain tool kit or Dr Franocomo's toolkit?

"Do you know about Dr. Francomono’s 75% Plan for Pain Relief. "Take, for instance that your medications take care of 20% of your pain relief. Then you use your TENS unit for another 10% reduction. Some Tiger Balm on your painful joints brings another 5% of pain relief. Maybe you could pull out your heating pad too for another 5% of pain relief. Then you decide upon a warm soak with Epsom Salts for another 10% pain relief. Deep breathing and some PT exercises combine for another 10% of relief. And then you watch a great movie for another 15% of pain relief. So now you have 75% of your pain managed effectively. How would your days be different if 75% of your pain was gone? Dr. Francomono’s plan demonstrates the importance of using multiple strategies…even if each one only makes a tiny difference, the difference made when they all are added together is significant.” "

It is frustrating to have to live with and accept that we will never be pain free, but it doesn't have to stop us from living the best we can. I hope you have a good day today.

I'm sorry for your situation.

Doesn't it make you wonder how so many people are being diagnosed with the same group of diagnosis? I have a neighbor who was diagnosed with the same thing you are. Lupus is something that is much more prevalent now but the other things you've mentioned, what's the possibility that more than one person is dealing with that same group of diseases?

I am also dealing with a lot pain. I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia but I also am dealing with peripheral neuropathy, restless leg syndrome, liver disease, bulging disks, insomnia, ect... My mind is affected in that my memory is compromised and can't find words or remember short term. I was denied disability so I must work. 🙁 I am dealing with so much extra pain due to grooming dogs which is the only thing I'm trained in. Since my memory is compromised it's intimidating to think of going back to learning something new!

Due to the "opioid epidemic" I am having to wean myself down from the pain medicine they have been giving me. I've learned that there are natural ways to help with pain. Like wild lettuce and I use medical marijuana to help with the pain after I work. It helps with your mental ability to deal with the pain. It's like magic! For me it doesn't take all the pain away but does help with the mental aspect of dealing with it. I also use the for mentioned 75% plan. I am so grateful that I live in the times I do because there weren't as many tools or understanding of how our bodies work but we should look back and use plants and food to help us.

I hope you find some relief my friend! God Bless
