Pain: I take a lot of meds try to take when I... - Pain Concern

Ask your GP about Slow Release Morphine Sulphate (Zomorph). If you take them every twelve hours, you should only rarely need to top up with Oramorph. The benefit of slow release is you don't fall asleep all the time, and the effects of the morphine are spread over a longer period, helping you to live a "more normal" life.
Hotpot have you asked Dr if it's pain meds causing the headaches or something else.you really need to ask Dr. Let me know what you find out. I,m here if you need to talk. susiejo1948
I also take loads of other meds as well as both SR (slow release) morphine capsules and liquid morphine for what is, laughingly, described as ‘breakthrough pain.’ This I’d innacurate since the pain is still constantly with me. There are patches for delivering morphine constantly but that would irritate my skin.
As it is, despite all this medication I am still constantly in pain -often pretty severe. Any inflammatory drugs helped a little, but despite taking both gastric protection meds and the more protective version (Naproxen) I developed an ulcer, which resulted in that med being ditched!!!
I don’t have any solutions. Unfortunately.
Hi did you get any headaches before starting morphine. You do need to speak to gp but I've been taking it for 2years now and only recently got headaches but mine could be not having enough fluids on board. On my days off from work I have to rest to recover and not had a lot to drink I am a nurse so should know better lol but my gp said it could be the meds 😰
