They work for me but make me very tired. Just be careful when you want to come off them, you have to do it gradually, if you stop taking them straight away you go through a cold turkey stage, I did that the last time I was on them and I thought I was dying. So this time I'm trying to get off tramadol slowly, taking 1 each time instead of 2, it is working but the only problem is my body is not ready because I'm finding myself in a lot of pain by the next time I'm due to have my meds so I have to take 2. Be careful with your bowels, they will more than likely cause you constipation so make sure you take plenty of fibre. I hope that helps.
Tramadol : They work for me but make me very... - Pain Concern
Tramadol
I have just recently been prescribed Tramadol 50 Mg One or two capsules up to 4 times per day. I also take ibuprofen 400 Mg 3 Times Per day plus Co-dyramol 20 Mg 4 Times Per day. I have a number of Co-mobility issues . So take anything up to 19 different prescription medications. I worry as it seems I need more and more painkillers to combat the pain. It also worries me what all these do to effect my body and mind. My GP and various Consultants do monitor my body especially my liver & kidney functions.
Hi Simon please be careful with ibuprofen, if you are on these long term they have significant side effects especially if you’re taking other medications. Have you tried pain management team?
I have been trying to get off my tramadol but no chance as the pain is getting worse, I'll be paying a visit to my doctors in the next few days as I've been like I am for 7 weeks on Saturday.
