Has anyone had an injection for trigger finger and how did it go? My thumb is very painful. I strapped it with tape and it seemed to be getting better. But each time I saw a different doc they made me take the strapping off and now it's very bad. The osteopath helped with the rest of the hand/wrist as the strapping and restriction was affecting them as well. But Thumb is pretty bad now. I've tried ice, Ibuprofen. I know injection works 50 to 80% of time. Only a little problem, left hand, bit causing me misery!

I know this May not Work but I have gone to a sports doctor before I hyper extended one of my fingers and they helped. I know it is a different doctor but you could call them and see if they could help you.

I can't find my reply so sorry if I missed doing that! Next time e I'm at gym will ask. Haven't been for a while due to finger.

Hi I've had injections in both my thumbs and ring finger on my right hand. Both thumbs are now good.

Still having some problems with finger and if it gets worse I'll have to have a small operation.

I've also had carpal tunnel operations on both wrists and that has worked really well.

Hope you get it sorted.

Injections didn’t work for me. I had the small ops and they fixed the problem.

I had my thumb injected once with steroid and after almost 2 weeks was back to normal. I recommend if you do decide on the injection see a hand specialist who does these type of injections frequently.

I've had injection in my left thumb.which worked but had 3 in my ring finger but every time it came back. Had small operation and it's been ok for over a year now. Have got it in my right thumb now so will be having injection for that soon. Very painful at moment. Good luck if you have injection.
