Any advice?

I'm suffering with pain, it starts just below my hip, but as if it's in the bone going down the leg, it's worse when I'm in bed, but doesn't bother me when I'm walking, has anyone any advice?

Hi, no I haven't, I've just been taking ibuprofen and trying to get on with it, but last night, I was in and out of bed as I couldn't get comfortable with the pain,

Thank you x

It sounds very much like a neuropathy of some type, especially because it is worse at night. I know this from personal experience. Lol!

Hi 😇 Sorry to hear about your pain issues. I had something very similar in my early 40's and after both CT & MRI scans it turned out to be Sciatica. The sciatic nerve was getting pinched which sends pain into the low back, hip, groin, and down the leg (or a combination of those). It's very difficult to get comfortable and can be painful to walk. At first I had very conservative treatment (PT, massage/acupuncture, anti-inflammatory mess, muscle relaxants) but after a year without improvement, a laminectomy was performed which helped significantly. I hope you get a resolution soon! All the best...

Thank you so much for the response, everything helps, I'm struggling to get comfy, even just sitting, but I can walk no problem, it's a strange pain, when I touch it , its not painful, but feels as though it's in the bone itself,

Thanks again

Your best and wisest option right now is to see your doctor! After taking a history regarding any possible injury, seeing how you move, etc., it can then be decided which tests you may need (if any) or perhaps a course of physical therapy. Let us know how things go! Best regards...

This pain could be anything really. I have similar pain but mine is due to sciatica and lumbar sacral osteoporosis and arthritis plus fibromyalgia and hip degeneration. It sounds like a pinched nerve but seek professional advice which could help reduce the pain. My pain is there all the time. I feel it when I move, walk sit and sleep, practically all the time. It's been there for years now so I have learnt to live with it. Do not despair as this however does not mean it is the same for you. You might get it sorted. Take care.
